
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons in the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the most talented tight ends to ever play and currently is the most effective NFL tight end in terms of receiving yards and receptions made by tight ends. Gonzalez also ranks third in receptions total. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons were in the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he made it to the NFL's draft in the first round. In the final five seasons in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez retired in 2013, has been an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Prior to that, he was at CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six All-Pro honors. Gonzalez is well-known for his endurance and rare errors. He played in 272 regular season games and lost only two fumbles in 1,327 plays. He was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
